SCG (SaaS Consulting Group), a business transformation partner serving more than 280 mid-market and private equity-backed companies, today announced the appointment of Tim Dietrich as its first Head of AI, a newly created global role that puts artificial intelligence at the center of the company’s strategy, solutions, and service delivery.
Widely recognized for his expertise in NetSuite data architecture and SuiteQL, Dietrich is an early practitioner of connecting AI platforms, including Claude, to NetSuite. At SCG, he will lead the development of AI-enabled solutions across NetSuite, Salesforce, and data and integration services, helping clients move beyond AI experimentation to practical applications that improve efficiency, visibility and business performance.
Since 2011, SCG has helped organizations connect the systems, processes and data that power Lead-to-Cash and Record-to-Report. With Dietrich’s appointment, SCG will build on that foundation to integrate AI into financial, revenue, and operational workflows where it can deliver tangible business value.
“AI is creating enormous opportunities, but our clients don’t need another demo. They need solutions that work with their actual business data, improve how their teams operate, and deliver measurable returns,” said Chris Holbert, CEO of SCG. “Tim’s rare combination of deep NetSuite expertise and hands-on AI development will benefit our partners and clients across all our service offerings. Establishing this role and adding Tim reflects our commitment to making AI a practical, achievable, and integrated part of business transformation for our clients.”
Dietrich has developed widely used tools for the NetSuite ecosystem, including the SuiteQL Query Tool, SuiteAPI, and the SuiteQL Query Library. His NetSuite AI Connector Guide and NetSuite Meets AI: Practical Lessons and Strategies explore practical approaches to connecting AI with NetSuite, developing AI agents and establishing appropriate governance.
“SCG already connects the business systems and data that make AI genuinely useful,” said Dietrich. “I’m excited to build on that foundation and help clients move from experimenting with AI to embedding it into the way they run their businesses.”
For private equity firms, SCG’s approach creates an opportunity to extend AI-enabled operating improvements across portfolio companies using a connected foundation of business processes, systems, data and expertise.
