Sensirion’s SGD4x A2L sensors, available from Mouser, are specifically designed for the HVACR industry as a complete A2L refrigerant detection system (RDS). The sensors are based on the thermal conductivity measurement principle and feature a dual-contact relay output that can trigger a signal relay to start a blower, switch off the load, or warn a control board. With their fast response time and broad compatibility with A2L refrigerants thanks to their versatile multi-refrigerant calibration, these sensors are an essential component for both residential and commercial HVACR systems.
The SFA40 sensor from Sensirion is designed to detect formaldehyde, a common indoor pollutant found in wood-based furniture and floorings, paints, and cosmetics. Measuring just 10 × 13 × 2.4 mm³, this compact sensor is designed for easy integration into air purifiers, indoor air quality monitors and air conditioners.
The miniature STCC4 sensor provides direct CO2 measurement in an ultra-small 4 × 3 × 1.2 mm3 package. Designed for seamless integration into compact electronic devices, enabling new applications previously limited by size and cost constraints. Leveraging the latest technological advancements in thermal conductivity sensing, the fully calibrated STCC4 delivers the accuracy required for indoor air quality applications with low current consumption. Optimized for high-volume assembly through its SMD design and tape and reel packaging, it is suitable for a wide range of applications, including residential, consumer, and wearables for CO₂ monitoring during sleep.
The Sensirion SEN6x sensor module family is a multi-parameter air quality monitoring platform that combines particulate matter, relative humidity, temperature, VOC, NOx, and either CO₂ or formaldehyde sensing within a compact footprint. Developed using Sensirion’s extensive environmental sensing expertise, the SEN6x modules deliver high measurement accuracy and extended operational lifetime in a highly optimized form factor.
