SHENZHEN, CHINA, September 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Sunwoda announced a smart battery management and modular microgrid initiative with Acelerex, a U.S.-based software and services company, to expand reliable electricity access in selected international markets across the Indian subcontinent, Africa, South America, and the Caribbean. The proposed collaboration targets integration of Acelerex’s REX™ software across Sunwoda battery storage deployments, including grid-connected systems and community microgrids.
Sunwoda’s BMS monitors and protects the battery; REX™ coordinates storage with solar, optional wind, backup generators and demand. The integration is designed to increase renewable energy use and reduce diesel dependence.

Acelerex will contribute its REX™ automation software and associated integration services to coordinate storage, solar, backup generation and demand in real time. Together, the two companies aim to provide developers, utilities and community operators in the targeted international markets with reliable, affordable and scalable microgrid solutions supported by remote monitoring, smart diagnostics and metering.
Proposed systems use 125 kW / 261 kWh storage blocks, with five blocks totaling 625 kW / 1.305 MWh of nominal capacity and Sunwoda modular grid scale smart BESS with REX™ can provide power blocks of 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and up to 20MW for microgrids.
