WHY:

According to an article in the Los Angeles Daily News reporting on a study done by the Center for Inclusive Democracy, among Black voters, 19.6% statewide and 20.6% in L.A. County voted in 2020 but did not four years later.

Organizers also hosted the event earlier in the summer in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, and in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and will host the final in the series in New York in late September.

The We the People campaign is a movement with a coalition of diverse community organizations that elevates the reality that the freedoms this country has promised belong to all.
