Siemens Earns CMMC Level 2 and FedRAMP® High Certifications

Siemens Government Technologies (SGT), Inc., today announced it earned two key government certifications, attesting to its commitment to meet the most stringent security and information protection standards for controlled unclassified information (CUI) in support of customers and their missions of national consequence.

SGT has demonstrated the required controls, policies, and full compliance with the information security standards specified through the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 Level 2 at the Enterprise level, following completion of an independent assessment conducted by an authorized Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO). Effective for three years, the certification validates SGT’s full implementation of 110 security controls outlined in the National Institute of Standards & Technology Special Publication 800-171 R2.

As further evidence to its organizational-wide rigor in application of cybersecure practices, the Siemens Federal Cloud featuring Teamcenter® enterprise product lifecycle management (PLM) software has earned Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP®) Class D (High) certification, meeting the most stringent standards for sensitive, unclassified data in cloud computing environments.

As the digital thread backbone to Siemens Federal Cloud, Teamcenter is relied on across industry and government agencies to connect product data, process, and teams for a single source-of-truth in comprehensive lifecycle management of assets relied upon for missions of national consequence. Teamcenter was previously chosen by the U.S. Air Force as a foundational system of record to support its digital acquisition and sustainment for critical systems and technologies across the service, and just recently, was named as a Leader in the current Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for PLM Software in Discrete Manufacturing Industries.

“The achievement of both CMMC Level 2 and FedRAMP High reflects our sustained commitment to be adaptable, responsive, and proactive in confronting today’s cyber threat environment, ensuring our customers’ trust for protection of sensitive information across our enterprise and cloud operating environments,” said John Ustica, president & CEO, SGT. “I’m incredibly proud of our teams across the organization that earned these important credentials, and know we’ll be ready to deliver on our commitments with the cybersecure fidelity required to fulfill our customers’ missions of national consequence.”
