The maintenance program includes inspection of cooling system components, cleaning of coils and filters, refrigerant level verification, and system performance testing. These procedures follow standards established by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) for residential HVAC maintenance.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, proper air conditioning maintenance can extend equipment life by five to seven years beyond the typical 15-year lifespan. The agency also notes that clean, well-maintained systems operate at closer to their rated efficiency, reducing both energy costs and environmental impact.
