Preventative Pavement Program Drives 300-Foot Concrete Curb Replacement Project in Amherstview
Canada – June 26, 2026 / EverLine Coatings and Services – Ontario East /
AMHERSTVIEW, ON, June 24, 2026 — A commercial strip mall in Amherstview has completed a large-scale concrete curb reconstruction project after an assessment identified deteriorating curb infrastructure that required full replacement to address safety concerns and support ongoing property maintenance efforts.
The project, completed by EverLine Coatings and Services Eastern Ontario, involved the removal and replacement of approximately 300 linear feet of aging concrete curbs throughout the property. The work was undertaken as part of the site’s participation in EverLine’s Preventative Pavement Maintenance Program (PPMP), which evaluates pavement and site conditions to identify maintenance needs before further deterioration occurs.
While the project focused on concrete infrastructure, it also supports broader pavement preservation planning that includes future asphalt repair and paving work at the site.

Property Assessment Identified Need for Full Curb Replacement
According to project information published by EverLine, the existing curbs had deteriorated to the point where localized repairs were no longer a practical solution. Instead, the project required complete excavation and reconstruction of the affected curb sections.
The scope of work included removal of damaged concrete curbs, excavation and site preparation, sub-base work, forming and pouring new concrete curbs, surface finishing, and restoration of surrounding landscaping impacted by construction activities.
By replacing the deteriorated infrastructure rather than attempting isolated repairs, the project addressed the underlying condition of the curbs while restoring their intended function throughout the commercial property.
Work Completed While Maintaining Access to Businesses
A key component of the project involved completing construction while minimizing disruption to the businesses operating within the plaza.
Project details published by EverLine indicate that customer and tenant access was maintained throughout construction. The project was completed on schedule and within budget while work progressed across the site.
The reconstruction effort also establishes the foundation for planned pavement improvements. EverLine notes that it will return to the property in the spring to complete asphalt paving in areas affected by the curb replacement work. Those future improvements will connect the newly installed curbs with the surrounding pavement infrastructure and complement ongoing asphalt repair and maintenance activities.
Preventative Maintenance Supports Long-Term Property Planning
The Amherstview project highlights how preventative maintenance programs can help commercial property owners identify aging infrastructure before conditions worsen. Through scheduled assessments and planned rehabilitation work, property managers can address issues affecting safety, functionality, and pavement performance.
For commercial properties, concrete curb replacement often serves as an important component of broader site maintenance strategies that may also include asphalt repair, paving, crack filling, and other pavement preservation measures.
